Smartlier Species

Clearly, the aptly named "Smartlier Species" (named by Professor Maria Verdes of the Ares Curiosity Institute, although the CDS-RU would have come up with a much more elegant name) have played quite an important role in the history of Skaoi IV. Apart from the mysteries of Kila and Quasi-Inviolables, they seem to be responsible for the digital infrastructure of Skaoi IV as well.

Based on thorough investigation from the CDS-RU Anthropology Department, this is what we can say about the Smartlier Species:

They are much smarter than humans, and marginally smarter than us Oq'r'a'a'aa'ans.
They created large, advanced cities on Skaoi IV.
They are no longer on Skaoi IV, although they (might) still exist in Very Downtown Skaoi.
This hypothesis is unlikely, as they are believed to be amphibian or reptilian in nature like other known intelligent life (see Jekalomora, Interior Arachnowyrms, and Oq'r'a'a'aa'ans), which does not match known descriptions of Voidsenders.
They enjoyed breakdancing and video games.
Breakfast was the most important meal of the day.

It brings me and the CDS-RU great pain that we cannot learn about these semi-aquatic creatures directly. Were they still around, we are certain that they would be extremely helpful in the entire expedition's reports.
