HF: Sorry I’m late I got you a uh, Cinnatoffeedieselightroast? It’s the seasonal one they always do on Nov 32. Ugh they always stick me on these interviews let’s just get it over with, so what’s your name and all that.
WO: Ah, uh, uh. Oh! I’m sorry, what did you say? I’m just still really shaken up. If I had just been a few feet over…
HF: No problem everyone gets nervous during these, we know all this anyways, can you tell me a little about yourself?
WO: Well, my name is Winnanfred Olafson, I’m a human woman, I work the front desk at FIDLAH. I’m 48 and I have a husband Olaf and two sons, N and Olaf, but we call him- Are they alright? Can I call them?
HF: Great, great we love families and whatever. What is one time you overcame adversity in the workplace?
WO: Oh uh, well, okay, here’s what I remember, so, I was about to get ready to logout and leave, Odinsdays are a little slow, but this woman came in earlier with the biggest stack of papers I’d ever seen, and we handed it off to the computers to process. It was Kayla in Archives birthday and there was this big party around 3-4, and the physioneurobioelectrobureauparalegals left early, kept the party going.
And this creepy little girl and this. Thing came into the front. It was swarming, and I’ve never seen nanobots look like that. They came in, they looked around. I asked them, “Can I help you? Would you like a piece of candy?”
The little girl turned to me, smiled, curtsied, and the lights were the first thing to go. I’ve been around the engineers enough to know some of the lingo and feel some of the tests. It must’ve been an EMP, and then my left eye went dark, which had to be an ΣMP. And then I felt that circuit cut out, and my leg fell out from under me as a ZMP hit, but I caught myself on the desk. And then I think there was another one, a type I hadn’t felt before. I got a serious headache. The office computer and the cameras were toast, and then there was this huge noise and the building shook. There was a lotta bustle at that point, a lot of people going in and out. I was so distracted losing my leg and eye, I don’t know who. There were three more, spread out over like a minute, it felt like they were deeper and deeper in the building. I was shuffling my way towards the door at that point.
HF: That’s great, that’s great. You’re a real trooper. What do you feel are your greatest weaknesses?
